In the tourist strip amongst the antique stores, this unassuming bakery serves the goods. When we were there we didn’t see a huge array of pies and pastries, there were enough to choose if that’s your thing though. Two small tables out the front, plenty inside and another 5 in the rear courtyard. Toilets available to patrons. We chose the grilled chicken burger, made fresh and it was delicious. The all-important coffee was served hot and was great. The florentine was just the right amount of chewiness and delicious. Service was fast, efficient and friendly.

Jack's High Street Cafe & Bakery is a gem in the High Street of Strathalbyn. To drink, it offers good hot coffee, tea, milkshakes and soft drinks. There is a range of cakes and pastries to accompany the liquid refreshment chosen. Although there is not a huge range of hot pies and pasties on offer, there was a specials board of hamburgers of various types and chips available. Other foods like focaccia, croissants and toasted sandwiches are provided as well. Check out the menu board. Many locals frequent this establishment. So prices must be reasonable and the service good.

Great little Cafe in Strathalbyn. Host was lovely and welcoming as soon as we walked in. Country feel in the warm interior and we had an all day big breakfast which was terrific.

Best place for coffee in Strathalbyn, the atmosphere is alive with people chatting and no loud trendy music. Helen and her husband whom runs it are friendly, welcoming and appriciative of business. Service is how it used to be, that is sorely lacking in the hospitality space - with respect and attention. It's business done as it should be. Come on down and see for yourself, go for a relaxing drive and see historic Strathalbyn after a coffee and cake at Jacks!

Lovey coffee shop and bakery in strathalbyn on the high side main Street. Deceptively large on the inside with many tables and an outside area, and artworks on the walls for sale. Coffee was pretty good and cakes and pastries were delicious. Menu appears to be more than just bakery items and the service was friendly and quick. Worthwhile checking out.
